Rickenbacker 620 Jetglo

An excellent example of Rickenbacker's iconic 620 model in Jetglo, made in the USA in 2011. In fantastic condition overall, with just a little light corrosion on the pickup mounting screws and pole-pieces (see pics). Comes restrung, setup and complete with it's original Ricki hardcase.

The iconic 620's Solid Maple body produces a tastefully complex and clean tone that has plenty of warmth to it, brightening up the top end whilst tightening the lower end. Its unique crescent shape keeps the body lightweight and provides beautifully intricate voicing, as well as full access to the higher frets.

The Model 620 features the famous 'Cresting Wave' Maple cutaway body based on an innovative design from the 1950's. A Rosewood fingerboard is punctuated beautifully with triangular pearloid inlay markers, while the maple double bound neck and body are solid through and through. The 620 is electronically engineered to the exacting standards of the 300 series, complete with Rickenbacker's own high gain pickups and stereo output. Successfully retaining the balance from the original specifications, the 620 is another fine example of Rickenbacker quality workmanship.

The neck-through body achieves an extraordinary amount of sustain and the dual truss rod offers enhanced durability. With its slim, sleek design and excellent low action, the guitar's neck produces a tight and warm tone with the Maple offering a snappy attack with sizzling highs and firm lows.

Situated at both the neck and bridge, this Rickenbacker features a set of high gain single coil pickups, offering that distinctive Rickenbacker sound. Producing a powerfully warm tone that provides plenty of punch, and gives it a tremendous amounts of sustain; the pickups' high gain provides presence and thickness to the tone, providing an excellent midrange and plenty of volume. The neck pickup delivers the perfect amount of girth and sustain for when you need raw power, whilst the bridge pickup provides a clean tone with a sixties style for times when clarity is needed. When used together, they produce the incredibly sweet, iconic characteristics of Rickenbacker's distinctive jangley tone.

Equipped with Schaller Tuners that keep the strings tightly wound and stable, providing accurate and reliable tuning. Rickenbacker have added their adjustable 6 saddle bridge and unique styled tailpiece for string stability, which also gives the guitar a classical yet stylish look. The guitar also possesses a split level scratch guard, chrome details and a stereo and mono output offering a truly unique sound, as well as appearance.
