Here we have a beautiful '52 Telecaster Relic built in 2021 at Fender's USA Custom Shop. Handmade by the best luthiers from the best materials to the 'old recipe' and then aged, worn and relic'd in every detail, to be as close to the original vintage instruments of this era, in both looks and sounds. With the classic combo of an Ash body and a Maple neck, this guitar feels resonant and bright with a good sustain, just as it should be! The necks on the Custom Shop Relic series guitars are cosmetically rubbed to a satin finish for a natural wear pattern, but no 'damage' is inflicted on the part you play, so it feels great. As you can see from the pictures, this eye-catching Tele is finished in a Taos Turquoise Blue and has been subjected to a heavy relic'ing process, much more so than the 'new/old stock' and 'closet classic' Relic versions - the less paint, the more mojo!
This special instrument comes as it did from the Custom Shop, and complete with the original Custom Shop tweed hardcase, leather strap, ashtray, tags, paperwork and certificate of authenticity.
