This fantastic Tobias Growler GR4 bass was made in Gibson's Nashville factory in 1996/7 (serial number: 5247), after Gibson acquired Tobias a few years previously. It has a beautifully sculptured ash body with a gloss finish, and a smooth maple and purpleheart neck, with a wenge fingerboard sporting 24 frets. It also has a quad-coil Bartolini pickup using an 18v active tone circuit to provide a wide array of excellent sounds.
To say this bass is approaching 30 years old, it has been very well cared for; it's in superb condition throughout with only a few very minor marks to speak of (on the bottom edge of the body near the jack socket, and on the top edge of the headstock). Comes complete with a Stagg ABS hardcase.
